2023 Medical Mission: Banica Day 7

Today the team traveled back to Los Cacacos to finish off the medical relief mission clinic we started yesterday right there on the border with Haiti.  It was reported that some of the patients might have either had contact with cholera or had active cholera, so additional PPE precautions were mandated for team members.

Haiti is suffering through a severe cholera epidemic, made worse by the worldwide shortage of the vaccine.  Total patient count today was 203, almost exclusively Haitian, bringing our team total to 787.

An amazing array of patients and patient issues. Afterward, a team meal out in Banica at the La Placita Restaurant. Tomorrow at 0700 we depart for Santo Domingo and then home.
