Medical Missionaries October 2025

A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Incredible Supporters!

The Medical Missionaries Team extends its deepest gratitude to everyone who joined us on October 25th for our Friends Of Medical Missionaries Fall Festival! We felt your support, whether you celebrated with us or contributed from afar.

The success of the day was truly made possible by the extraordinary kindness of Don and Helen. We are profoundly grateful to them for so generously opening their farm, Windy Knoll Farm, and sharing their beautiful property with all our guests, both indoors and out. Their selfless gift of the farm’s use was the foundation of our event, and we cannot thank them enough for their incredible hospitality and support!

We also send huge thanks to:

  • Zac and Rob and friends for sharing their musical talents and keeping us entertained throughout the day.
  • Zac Quintana for delighting us with his MC skills
  • Mission BBQ, Gainesville, for ensuring everyone was well-fed with their delicious contributions.
  • Our amazing Medical Missionaries volunteers—thank you for your tireless work and dedication; you truly knocked it out of the park!

To all our guests: You made a real difference! Your generosity helped Medical Missionaries raise vital funds for our many projects both locally and around the world. We hope you had a wonderful time celebrating with us!

Haiti Updates

Two weeks ago, Hurricane Melissa struck the Caribbean, inflicting severe damage across Haiti. Recent reports indicate the tragic loss of life, with the death toll currently placed between 30 and 60.  Haiti faces a long road to recovery and clean-up in the foreseeable future.

While the St. Joseph Clinic itself was not hit directly, the surrounding area has been significantly affected by local flooding. Critically, our ability to communicate has been severely impaired, as the internet has been down for over a week. This has created a challenge in coordinating our relief efforts and supply chain.

Despite these communication hurdles, our team on the ground is working hard. Our immediate focus is on two key areas:

Acquiring Prescription Medications: We are prioritizing the procurement of essential prescription medications to ensure the clinic can continue to serve the community’s urgent needs.

Restoring Communication and Supplies: Once communications are back online, we plan to immediately finalize a critical medication order and complete the purchase process for much-needed lab equipment.

We will share another update with more details on the situation and how you can help as soon as reliable communication is restored. Thank you for your continued support of St. Joseph Clinic during this challenging time.

Supplies and Equipment In and Out

Bring Holiday Cheer to Grundy: Fill a Bag!

Get ready to spread some serious holiday cheer! Medical Missionaries has kicked off our annual collection drive for the Grundy 2025 Holiday Giving, and we need your help to make this season extra special for the community.

Let’s make this year’s effort the biggest yet! Be generous and participate in our “Fill a Bag for Grundy” request to ensure every family has a bountiful holiday meal and a memorable gift to unwrap. Your support keeps the spirit of giving strong in this wonderful community!

How to Help & What to Donate:

It’s easy to contribute! You can stop by our office during business hours, shop your favorite retailers like Amazon or Walmart and have items shipped, or make a monetary donation specifically toward this effort.

The Grundy community has shared a list of their most-needed items. Let’s make sure their bags are overflowing!

  • Canned hams, boxed potatoes and desserts, cranberry sauce.
  • Canned goods (meat, fish, stew, chili, soup, fruit, vegetables), cooking oil, powdered milk, peanut butter, cereal, rice, pasta.
  • Baby food, formula, and diapers.
  • Paper towels, toilet paper.
  • Toys or gift items for teenagers (these are especially needed!).

A quick note: Please help us by avoiding all items in glass jars. Thank you!

Every Donation Counts! Thank you!!

Cameroon, Africa:

Dr. Irwin recently met with visitors from Cameroon, West Africa at our office in Manassas. Together, they worked to finalize plans for a container which will be loaded in the next few weeks at our warehouse.

Nigeria: Medical Missionaries’ fearless team of volunteers and packers gathered at the warehouse recently to pack this container. It is now on its journey to Nigeria. The team finished packing the 40 foot sea container in a record setting 2 hours. Go team!

Traveling Colonels: Colonel Monte is in Kyiv once again. You can keep in touch with Monte’s heroic work as he posts regularly on our website.
